I LOVE this show. The writer who reviewed the show for the New Yorker wrote something like, "If human beings could legally marry a TV series, I'd run off with Mad Men." I can't stop thinking about this show every time I finish an episode; and it's hell waiting a whole week for the next one.
If you are interested in watching it, do not start midway through the season; the episodes are sequential. AMC (American Movie Classics) will be running a Mad Men Marathon on Sunday, September 2nd starting at 10am.
I just started Tivo-ing it, and have watched 1/2 of one episode and was confused and was going to give up on it. But, I'll watch the first few episodes now that they are doing a marathon and give it a try. The commercials for it seemed like it would be awesome, so I was disappointed when I didn't instantly love it.
Hi ladies! I've decided to delurk. I love Mad Men, I think it is one of the most interesting shows on tv right now. The cast is fabulous and the writing has been awesome so far. I am dying to see what is going to happen tomorrow night. With Pete intercepting Don's box and looking at the contents, the whole show is about to change when his secret is revealed. Is anyone else shocked that Don's brother committed suicide because of his rejection? I hate that there are only 2 episodes left until summer, aargh! I can't wait that long.
Somehow I missed this thread when it started. DH got me hooked on this and I love, love, love it! I make sure it's the first thing I watch when it's in with all the TiVo'ed programs.

Well that was shocking. I figured they were leading up to a pregnancy after her early morning tryst with Pete in his office. But I certainly didn't expect her to give birth! Holy cow! I wonder if she'll give it up for adoption? Will Pete ever know? How will it impact her new junior copywriter status? Yay to her for the promotion.
