I should have asked sooner because my registration appt. for Fall semester started earlier today. However, I'm still not 100% sure on the Dance class I enrolled in. I'm taking a Dance class as a fun way to workout and keep fit.
The class is Commercial Dance which is dance for films, videos, TV, shows/musicals, etc. However, I'm not sure because its only once a week and runs for 3h55m.
The other class I was contemplating is Intro to Jazz and is twice a week for 1h20m.
What I want to know is, which one will be more beneficial to my fitness goals? Since the Commercial Dance class is only once a week, I'm thinking it wouldn't be as beneficial as the Jazz that runs twice a week? Should I be breaking up my workout into smaller but frequent sessions, like the Jazz?
Oh! and I will still be going to the gym 3 or 4xs a week on top of dance.
I'd also suggest going to Intro to Jazz. You'll probably get a better workout out of it anyway, and I'd be afraid that the Commercial Dance class would mostly focus on the 'performance' aspect.
In the jazz class you'll probably get to do a warmup/stretch/strength section, an across the floor section, and then learn/practice a short routine. Less talk and more action!
