My SIL turned me on to a Fantastic Resturant Called MON AMI GABI in the paris hotel. The ambiance is great , the food is incredible and they have a great selection of wine as well. HIGHLY recomend it!

As for shows, I enjoy comedy shows the best but I have heard that anything cirque de soleil does is amazing.

Also IMO, best margaritas in vegas at at the luxor hotel in the mexican resturant.

As for a present for hubby - what about an in room couples massage???

I like Mon Ami Gabi too - the french bistro decor is fun and it's across from the Bellagio, so you can watch the fountains at night.

My favorite restaurant is Onda (italian) in the Mirage, but it's kind of spendy, maybe $120-150 for two, depending if you get drinks/a bottle of wine. Another great italian restaurant is Olives in the Bellagio - soooo good and a little less expensive.

I can't give any advice about Vegas, but as far as your present goes, how does he feel about fruit? It sounds weird but there's a company called Edible Arrangements that does really cool stuff with fruit. I use them for corporate gifts all the time and they're really well received. I want one myself :) Anyway, I know it doesn't seem like the most "manly" gift, but I think it's about as unfeminine as you can get without being totally impersonal, you know?

Ditto the Mon Ami Gabi. It definitely worth it!

I would call the hotel and see what they can deliver and/or suggestions from them. I bet they will have some good ideas. Especially if you mention its for a guy and he's not the flowers/champagne type.

I have not seen Ka, but have seen many of the other Cirque shows and they are all amazing. I think you will enjoy it!

we were just there last weekend. although we didn't catch any shows, i (also) hear that cirque de soleil is awesome.

we had dinner at Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio. i'm biased b/c DH works for Jean-Georges, but it truly is worth the $$$. we had dessert on the patio and watched the fountain we also went to Guy Savoy (located @ Caesar's) for our wedding dinner. it is an incredibly pricey restaurant (appetizers start @ $40), but the service and cuisine were to DIE for.

Mario Batali opened up two restaurants at the Ventian. we had lunch @ Enoteca San Marco (the more casual restaurant; the other is only open for dinner) and really enjoyed ourselves. David Burke has a place @ the Venitian as well, but also only open for dinner.

don't forget to check out dining options @ the MGM. if you're a foodie, Joel Robuchon has two options, along with Tom Colicchio. we ate @ Shibuya and enjoyed virtually everything.

overall, dining in Vegas is amazing. there are so many celebrity chefs there, you can't go wrong.

I was there last weekend as well but I'm not one for recommending a restaurant. My idea of fine dining in Vegas is a buffet. I did want to let you know, however, that there is a Zappos outlet there! I didn't get a chance to go because I noticed it on our way out. It's located on Dean Martin Dr. but kind of on your way out of the city. You can see it off the highway.

Wait ... WHAT????????????????? I have never heard of a zappos outlet!!! OMG I am so going next time I am there.

aw crap! I would love to go to a zappos outlet. We're flying there, though, so we won't have a car. I doubt my husband would be up for it anyway.

The Sahara breakfast buffet is pretty good, I'd recommend it. I think I remember the buffet at Circus Circus being pretty good too but it's been a while since I've been to that one.

Stay away from the Excalibur buffet bleh

That sounds like a really fun trip! I highly recommend Valentino in the Venetian - it's a splurge - but just as delicious and wonderful as the one in LA. I also recommend checking out the Jimmy Choo store in the Venetian - fantastic window shopping!

Friends have gone to Forty Deuce and some liked it - some of the girls were sort of uncomfortable. It sounds like it could be kind of cool???

As for breakfast - I'm not really sure - I liked the breakfast at Canyon Ranch in the Venetian - and at the Starbucks in the Mandalay Bay :)

one of DH's chefs recommended the Rio. i'm not sure how breakfast is, but it's worth trying.

The Paris buffet is also the best in Vegas! Beats the Rio and others hands down.

Hubby hates any sort of show with a fiery passion, but was completely entranced by KA. He loved it, so I would say it's a good choice ;)

Shibuya in the MGM Grand is a wonderful sushi restaurant. Beautiful interior and a HUGE sake selection.

Mix in TheHotel at Mandalay Bay (the awesomest hotel in Vegas) is a fab dining experience too. The restaurant is gorgeous and the view is breathtaking. Be sure to visit the bar next door too.

If you are going to do any spa time, The Bathhouse is amazing.

My husband and I saw the sexy Cirque du Soleil show, Zumanity. It was weird, sexy, and funny. I liked it but didn't LOVE it.

Be sure to check who will be playing at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay. My husband and I just happened to notice that Lucinda Williams was playing while we were staying at TheHotel. We got tickets. It was one of the best shows I have ever seen.
