I'm so confused! Usually when I want to lose I know what to eat and not to eat and lose at least 2-4 lbs. in the first week. Well this time I'm really determined to lose weight (again) that I've actually been doing lots of cardio at the gym. I started eating healthy on Monday and I've gone to the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and I'll be going again today. And guess what?! I've only lost 1 freakin' pound!!!! My husband and I have been going together and he's lost 3lbs. He lifts weights and does cardio. I've only been doing cardio. I plan on hitting some weights starting this week, I know lifting will help me burn more calories. I've been doing at least 40 minutes of cardio and the machine says I burn around 370 to 400 calories. what am i doing wrong? I'm so fustrated that I was not even planning on going to the gym today, I was ready to give up. But I won't let myself. for now.....
Don't worry! Often when I start exercising after a 'hiatus', I actually gain a small amount of weight for the first couple of weeks, and only eventually do I start slimming down. Just keep it up!! You'll see results eventually!
its only been a week!! don't give up- give yourself at least a month to see if your body is responding. i also gain weight at first (like a pound or two) but it starts to fall off after a month or so.
here is a motto i once heard: in the first month you will feel the difference. In the second month you will see the difference. In the third month others will see the difference. It is hard, but hang in there, it is soooo worth it

I am trying to. I'm actually drinking more than before, especailly when I work out, my body asks for it. Thanks for the encouragement to hang in there everyone! It's just sucks and it's really hard to see no weight loss when I've been working so hard and eating way better and don't see the scale go down. I know, this is just the first week. Before, when I just watched what I ate and didn't even work my butt off at the gym... I'd see the scale go down the first week! thanks again!
Keep drinking water...sometimes it feels like you are drinking tons just because it's more than you are used to. I had trouble losing wieght, then I joined weight watchers and found out I wasn't eating enough. I started eating more (still healthy foods) and starting losing. Man I need to go back on that to lose the baby wieght lol. Anyway keep trying!! Good luck!!
