How did you find ST?

Just wondering how we all found ST. I found it on another clothing forum, and someone asked what other forums people went to and someone listed ST. It's funny, because sometimes I recognize the people who visit both.

Oh, my.  Seems like so long ago.  I started off (with a few of us) on the OLD Lucky forum.  That became tiresome, and so a regular poster (Irene) started Fashion Hag, (FH) She shut that down, and D and DC started the fabulous Stylethread, so here I am, roughly 6 years later!  I can't believe it's been so long!

Same here.  I first starting posting on Lucky when I was 16.  I can't believe that was over 7 years ago!!!

I was a lurker on the old Lucky forum, where I came across Fashion Hag, and the rest is history. so yeah, it's been a while but it doesn't even feel like it!

I did a google search for a coupon code and ended up on the coupon database. I lurked for like a month and then slowly began posting. The thing is, I was never into surfing the web. When I found ST, I thought this was a good resource for tips on sales and codes, but I never thought I would actually start posting. I also had no idea what many things meant - iirc, tts, tia, so, dh, etc. I was like "What is she talking about?" Now I find myself thinking these abbreviations when I'm talking to someone.

I got sucked in, though. No one I know irl loves fashion and shopping as much as me, so I never had anyone to talk to. I get weird looks from my friends when I talk about a shoe's vamp, etc. I have found a few more fashion forums since ST, but have to admit I prefer you girls because I have seen very little bitchiness on here. Everyone is pretty open minded, positive and accepting of differences. Some other boards scare me a little.

Yup - same here. From the WNTW website. I think they were talking about how they wish they could post their outfits, and someone mentioned this website, and I've been a member ever since. :)
