Fashion Emergency Kit for Work
Permalink Closed

I'm thinking of putting together a "fashion crisis kit" to keep in my bottom desk drawer at work.  I'm trying to keep it at a minimum and have things that I usually kick myself about not having around.  I have some things already but will probably put them in all in a box for easy access.  Here's my list so far:

  • Lint Roller
  • Tide to Go Pen
  • Safety Pins
  • Bobby Pins
  • Hair Bands
  • Chapstick
  • Deodorant
  • Little perfume sample
  • Sweater
  • Closed toe flats (in case I have to run to the mailroom in the warehouse, they have a no open toe shoes policy)

ETA:

  • Gum/Breath Mints

Anything else?

Double stick tape?  Clear nail polish?  Nail file?

I always keep a sweater (one that I don't really care for all that much) at work in case I get cold or spill on myself.

That's a really good idea.  I keep extra nylons - a suit on my door for those surprise court appearances and

lipstick
makeup removing face wipes
deoderant
extra dress shoes
powder
contact solution
sweatsuit - for those nights when I work really late and want to be comfy!

ditto on the double sided tape. I use the heck out of this stuff. I use it for hem,keep some of my low cut tops closed,to keep my  collars on my button up's laying flat

  • Lint brush
  • Hair bands
  • Shout wipes
  • Lipstick & lip balm
  • Nail Polish Remover & cotton balls
  • Hand Lotion
  • Mints
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss (God forbid I have a pepper flake between my teeth)
  • Clear Nail Polish, Nail File, Nail Clippers
  • Saline Solution & Visine

Most of these are all travel-sized products, so it takes up very little space (less than a shoebox)

I keep similar stuff as everyone listed. Always need that nail file.  And I prefer to have a small nail clipper or tweezer (the tweezer has come in handy for so many times!)

some more things i may keep in my desk or car:
* extra thong
* a travel pantyliner & tampon
* headband
* vitamins & medicine

Great ideas everybody!

Here's all I have to add (these things may have been named already):

Hand lotion

Compact Mirror

Mini Hairbrush

Ibuprofen and Dayquil caplets (but would this really be a fashion emergency?)

I'm thinking of adding a travel toothbrush and toothpaste.  People at I work with seem to be big on the after-lunch tooth-brushing.

The only thing that's a must for me that hasn't been said is cortisone cream.

A coworker of mine always has black shoe polish in his desk, and that's come in handy a few times too.
