so irritated with anthropologie

I placed an order online earlier today at anthropologie.com.  I decided later to call and cancel it because it was a whim and I am really trying to save money.  The CS representative was very nice, but she told me she could not cancel it because it is being shipped from a store.  Well, the last time I ordered online and my order was sent from a store, it took 2 weeks for it to arrive instead of the 5-7 days as outlined in the shipping policy.  Another time, I ordered shoes  and they arrived scuffed.  I told her all of this and she agreed to put in the request to cancel.  She said it would probably ship out anyway but to just refuse the shipment.  She said they had been having alot of problems with items sent from stores (that were ordered online) being shipped late.  She told me that she would probably get in trouble for making the cancellation request since the item was being shipped from a store, but she did it anyway.  That was very nice of her and I appreciate it greatly, but I am just really irritated with anthropologie.  This cancellation policy does not make sense.  I followed up with an email sent to customer service asking them to cancel.  They have heard from me twice now.  I all but threatened to quit shopping at anthro if they do not cancel this order and I am very serious about that.  It is too expensive anyway for me and I just need one good excuse, as if being too expensive for me isn't one. biggrin  Anyway, thanks for listening to my vent, and have any of you had a similar experieince with anthropologie?

I haven't had that particular type of experience with Anthro, but I have complained about the salespeople in years past. The ladies that work at my local store at one point were so rude that I hated walking in the door.  I emailed the company and recieved a very nice email back apologizing along with an invitation to come in and shop with a personal shopper and recieve a $25 gift card. I never took them up on the offer, but I was pleased that they responded. It also seemed like perhaps others were complaining as well, because the attitude there is completely changed now. I hope customer service gets back with you on your issue. I can completely understand the frustration.  The items there are expensive and I do think it requires a higher level of customer service to keep you wanting to go back.
