Printer recommendations? Preferably w/ cheap ink

I have an HP printer that is about 8 years old - I'm sick of replacing the ink cartridges so often, and they're expensive (about $25 each).

I mainly print resumes/coupons/black & white printouts. I do not use my printer to print pictures.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a printer that doesn't go through ink cartridges so quickly?

I read somewhere that Kodak & Canon have the cheapest ink refills, but their printer models seem geared towards those who print a lot of pictures.

If you belong to a Costco, they will refill printer cartridges for about $8.
