I was at my husband's grandmother's condo for Thanksgiving. And, as I was enjoying the spa and workout facilities that are on the property, I started thinking about home amenities. 

Just for fun, what indulgent amenity do you wish your home or housing community had?

I'll start. I wish we had a proper, fully equipped steam room or steam shower.  I'd break out my bottle of eucalyptus essential oil, and hit that thing several times a week!

Hmmm. I think I could second the steam room. I use the one at the gym all the time. An indoor pool would be sweet!

But, the biggest closet/dressing room of all time wouldn't be a bad pick. I design it in my head as I'm falling asleep on a regular basis.

I would love a pool or a hot tub - those are my biggies!

I also love the idea of outdoor showers, although I've never actually used one. But I shower with the window open whenever I can because I like the fresh air while I shower, so I imagine I'd love an outdoor shower a million times more. I would get one with walls though of course!

I wish I had a soaking tub...modest, i know...well, let it be with bubbles & underwater lights! We actually have 2 tubs, but they're in kids' bathrooms & not soaking, if you fill them, it barely covers your knees if you're lying there...yesterday I felt a bit under the weather & REALLY wanted to be in the tub, knowing in advance that's not going to be fun, I etered it anyway...cursed a bit, & still wish I'd have a good soaking tub! (Kohler design would fit just fine!)

I would just love a dressing room. A wall just for shoes and one just for accessories. It would be so nice to have a place for summer clothes AND winter clothes. I would love not to have to change over my closet 2x a year.

A huge kitchen with a wood fire oven would be amazing. And save on heating bills. wink

Of course, maid service would be the ultimate indulgence.

I was promised a hot tub in the corner of the yard behind our garage several years ago, so that's what I'm sticking with (since I already have a jetted tub, steam shower and a decent closet with a dresser and vanity in it).

A few times a year I do wish for a pool, though.

i would really like a hot tub and a sauna. since i'm finnish, i practically grew up in a sauna and i love them.
