If you could live in another time period, fashion-wise, what would it be?

I love the 1940's with the fitted shirt dresses and t-strap heels.  I like the defined waists and the fitted jackets.  People seemed to work at looking pulled together.  It could also be just an over dose of old movies on cable too.wink

I second that, Boots! The 40s and 50s would suit my zatig figure.  I just had someone make a dress very similar to this one and I can't wait to rock it with some red lips:

Xtina Styles - that will look amazing on you!!

I actually like this decade. I always tend to think that I would like to live in the 50s, until I really take a hard look at actual vintage vs retro revival styles, and I think I like the modern spins better than the original decade!

I think that the Victorian Era is incredible fashion-wise. The amount of detail and the way they defined themselves as women through their clothing I think is amazing...

I'd like a few: Victorian ( end of 19th cent), 1900-s ( art nouveau period) & 1940-s-1950-s.

They all have their pros and cons, don't they?

I really love the fashion of the 30's and 40's but I prefer now because I have the freedom to be comfortable. Leaving my house in a short cotton skirt, tank top and flip flops is not something I could have gotten away with then.

I love 40s style. Victorian would be fun for a minute, but what a lot of work!
