travel system recommendations???
Permalink Closed

I am expecting and am a bit overwhelmed by all of the stroller options.  I think we have narrowed down to starting out with a travel system and then getting Britax carseats once the infant car seat is outgrown.  Does anyone LOVE their travel system?  I like the Graco Quattro, but it was a bit bulky and heavy for me.  Any other Graco models or brands you love? tia!!

truthfully - I recommend not getting one. I had the quattro and hated it. I used the snap and go while my daughter was in an baby seat. Then I bought the pliko p3 (which you can actually use with the baby seat as well). It was much easier...not as big, and I actually traveled with it a lot and it held up. I also like the 5 pt. harness...the quattro I had only had a three point harness.

I have had 2 Graco travel systems (can't remember if it was Quattro, it was quite a while ago) and they both broke.  The cup holders broke off of both, which was tragic for me, and then other parts broke.  I had a Graco stroller that I didn't care for either.  Just seemed so flimsy.  I did, however, LOVE my Britax car seats, so I highly recommend those.  I was intrigued by those baby carrier holder/stroller type things, but never got one as we were up to our ears in strollers by our second child, but they look cool and would take up little space.

I did something similar to what JMR did. I used a Snap and Go with a BRitax careseat while my daughter was an infant. I loved this...the snap and go and light and very easy to fold. When she got a little older we got a Maclaren XLT stroller. I love this stroller my only complaint is the lack of cup holders for both me and her...but aside from that...it is a great stroller and handles well. I also really like these new Quinny's...I'd get one of those next time..

See, I had a Graco travel system and loved it, can't remember if it was the quartto or not. It was the Oakwood pattern. I used it a ton and found it super easy to use and durable, nothing broke on mine. And now we have the Britax marathon and love that as well. Happy shopping and congratulations!!!

My SIL has a Chicco travel system and loves it - it came recommended to her from several friends.

I used the peg prego p3 system the entire time. We still use the stroller. It's held up well. I liked that the stroller folds pretty small, and can stand when folded. We also liked the 5 point harness, especially when Madie was new to sitting in the stroller. And I know peg prego holds it's value so I can pass it on to friends or send of to consignment and it's worth it.

I didn't have a Graco, so I can't comment from first hand experience, but everyone I know that had one had problems with theirs of varying degrees.

I had the Chicco Cortina and loved it.  My daughter just got too long for the infant seat (now has a Britax) so I now just use the stroller.

The Chicco keyfit carseat is the highest safety rating....this is horrible to say, but they call it the orphan maker, because many times the adults in the car don' t make it but the babies are fine.

Here is a review on you tube....from Baby Gizmo
