I still need rugs and finishing touches in my room. I really want to hang something nice over the bed...any suggestions? (these aren't the best pics but you get the idea)

The room looks so nice.  Very pretty window treatments.  To personalize, maybe some nicely framed black & white photography.  Black frames with off-white/cream mattes.  You could do three small squares, two large squares, two rectangles, one big frame (horizontal rectangle) containing several photos.  Draw up some different shapes behind an outline of the bed on some paper to see what configuration you like best.

I love your color scheme, esp your curtains! Lovely! I like pollyjean's photography idea. Maybe you could do three 8x10s (or 11x17s, I am terrible with size estimation) in black and white, framed in an off-white, with black frames? Maybe a pic of your wedding, one of Talia, one of all three of you somewhere?

Very pretty. I would also do three small pictures in dark wood frames, but probably not photos, since you'd have to stand on the bed to get a good look!

It may be too much, but you could hang a mirror horizontally - like this one at Z Gallerie -



Only sideways.

But not if you live in earthquake country.
