Experience w/ acupuncture?
Permalink Closed

I'm starting acupuncture treatment for hypothyroid and adrenal fatigue based on my doctor's recommendation.  She's trained in Western medicine, but embrasses alternative treatmeants.  I've had such horrible side effects to the traditional medications that I'm definitely open to trying it.  I'm kind of excited for the first treatment next week.

I was just curious if anyone had any experience w/ acupuncture?

i haven't had acupuncture myself but a couple of my friends have, and had good results (for things like tennis elbow). on the other hand, another friend had it once on her hand and it made her feel ill, but generally i think it's pretty helpful

I did it regularly for a year or so for some torn muscles around my spine, due to a car accident. I thought it was wonderful, (maybe not a miracle) but it helped more than any other thing I tried. I don't have any experience for situations like yours where it is not muscular but internal. It is definitely worth a try and really relaxing.
